My name is Steve Quirk, this
website started out featuring how I go about imaging astronomical
objects observed in the night sky from the southern hemisphere.
Since 1985 I have used various lenses and telescopes with commonly
available high speed films, sensitised films and a low-light GSTAR-EX
Deep-Sky Video Camera to make astro-images and do other astronomical
observations.
Many of my astro-images have been published in books and magazines in
Australia and overseas.
As of 2025 I have been imaging with an amazing little gadget, a Seestar S50 Smartscope.
August 2026, I have stripped
back all the old content from this latest version of my webpage.
My apologies if you were looking for anything I had featured before.
