Images recorded with film and GSTAR-EX video camera

Be sure to calibrate your monitor so you can see all sections of the scale below

I've noticed on several LCD monitors that they show the images way too bright.
It is important to calibrate the colour and brightness settings of your monitor.

For most deep sky images the GSTAR-EX video camera it is set to 128x integration
(2.56 seconds) and frame capture size of 768 x 576 pixels.
I normally capture in lots of 100 x 2.56 seconds to keep file sizes and processing managable.

All images have various processing in Registax and Photoshop such as:
dark frame subtraction, wavelet sharpening, histogram and levels adjustment, unsharp masking, dark ring removal and noise reduction.
Many images have been reworked several times as I learn and refine these techniques.

In several images, instead of recording genuine RGB frames with the GSTAR,
I have blended colour information from images I recorded on colour film during the period 1983 to 1992.
The colour images are very low resolution compared to the GSTAR images and only contribute the colour information. This technique is always stated in the image details.
